Recent geochemical research for gold mining in the area between the Karatog and Luchob rivers has revealed 10 potential deposits. This was announced today by the head of the Main Department of Geology Ilhom Oymuhammadzoda.

“According to the project for conducting a general search for precious and semi-precious, deposits have been discovered in the Shohdara and Ishkoshim mountain ranges as a result of carrying out geological routes and digging cavities. On the basis of reports that have passed the state examination, mineral reserves containing lead, zinc, gold, andesite, limestone, a mixture of sand and gravel were put on the state balance,” continued Oymuhammadzoda.

He noted that during the first half of this year, the Main Department of Geology has completed a geological study of the subsoil in accordance with the state program for the Development of Geology in Tajikistan for 2021-2030 relating to black, non-ferrous, precious, rare metals, nuggets and decorative stones.

During this period, contractual work was carried out for 126 projects. Work on the economic method has amounted to nearly 18 million somoni, which is a 200% growth rate.
