Yesterday, the Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda met with the ambassadors who are in Dushanbe to attend the Second International Water Conference.

Rasulzoda noted that the Dushanbe Conference, which is held on the basis of the unanimous resolution of the UN General Assembly on the comprehensive midterm review of the Decade of Water, will serve as a key link in the chain of regional and global events.

As a co-chair of this conference, Tajikistan has developed close collaboration with member states, the UN system and other stakeholders.

In connection with climate change and the transformation of nature, they emphasized President Emomali Rahmon’s initiative as a member of the founding group of the World Weather and Climate Coalition, at the first high-level meeting during which 2025 was declared the International Year for the Protection of Glaciers.
