During his trip to Danghara district, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon toured the limited liability company “Khutalon” nature reserve. The territory of the Khutalon nature reserve is 6 thousand ha. In accordance with instructions of the head of state the endangered species of animals and birds such as spotted deer, wild sheep or Bukhara urial, mouflon (a subspecies group of the wild sheep) and pheasants are grown up here. It should be noted that the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan adopted a special resolution on increasing number of spotted deer and Bukhara deer or Bactrian wapiti, wild boars and pheasants. In order to implement the decree, specific measures are being taken in the country to develop the sphere, increase the cultivation of rare animals included in the Red Book of Tajikistan. Currently, the Khutalon nature reserve contains more than 500 spotted deer. Taking into account wide opportunities, favorable climate and fertility of lands, in the near future in the Danghara district for the cultivation of rare animals two nature reserves will be created on the area of 22 thousand hectares in accordance with instructions of the Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon.
