Emomali Rahmon’s Working Trip to Mir Said Ali Hamadoni District

The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived in Mir Said Ali Hamadoni of Khatlon Province in order to get acquainted with the living conditions of the population, the opening of several socio-economic facilities, as well as to hold a meeting with the locals.

His visit began with the opening ceremonies of the symbolic gate, height of which is 10 meters, and inaugurated a reconstructed road of republican significance, which is 16 kilometers long and for the repair of which 15 million somoni was spent from the local budget and entrepreneurs’ funds.

This was followed by an opening ceremony of a new secondary educational institution for 528 students in two shifts, and the opening ceremony of enterprise for the production of polypropylene sacks.

Equipment of Chinese and Russian manufacturing has reportedly been installed at the enterprise, which has a capacity of producing 600,000 polypropylene sacks per year.

While inspecting the renovated People’s Philharmonic named after Odina Hoshim, President Rahmon opened a modern sports complex built by the contribution of entrepreneur Amrokhon Saidov.

Attending the opening of the Cultural and Recreational Park, which had been closed due to renovation work, President Rahmon inspected the historical Museum in the Mir Said Ali Hamadoni district.

Concluding his visit he held a meeting with public representatives and noted that the government is continuing to ensure the sustainable socio-economic development of Mir Said Ali Hamadoni and has so far channeled more than 1.9 billion somoni from for this area.

He noted that 23 public investment projects worth more than 752 million somoni have been implemented in the district, with eight more underway.

President Rahmon stressed that the Program of Socio-Economic Development of Sangvor for 2021-2025 of Mir Said Ali Hamadoni provides for the implementation of 175 projects totaling 517 million somoni to further improve the infrastructure of the district, which will, in turn, will create more jobs.

Since gaining state independence, the government has created more than 38,000 new jobs, but the existing opportunities in this area have not yet been fully utilized.

Sixty six industrial enterprises are currently operating in the district. Since gaining independence, 34 new buildings of educational institutions have been built and put into operation for 14,000 students, totaling 73 million somoni.

Over the past 30 years, the government has paid special attention to the development of health care in the district, and now 58 medical facilities are providing services to the local population.
