Meeting of Tajik-Kyrgyz Governmental Delegations on Border Delimitation and Demarcation Held in Dushanbe8-04-2019, 17:42. |

– A meeting of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan government officials on the delimitation and demarcation of the state border was held on April 4-6 in Dushanbe. The Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan Azim Ibrohim and Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Zhenish Razakov chaired the meeting. The parties discussed the completion of the process of determining the state border line between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, the possible exchange of land between the two countries in order to eliminate interspersed and interlinked sites to ensure a stable Tajik-Kyrgyz state border and to complete the creation of large-scale delimitation topographic maps on a 1:10,000 scale, reported the Tajik Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Following the meeting, which was held in a friendly atmosphere conductive to mutual understanding, the parties signed a protocol. Representatives of both countries expressed their readiness to complete the formation of the Tajik-Kyrgyz state border line, which will serve as a guarantor of stability and good neighborliness in the border areas.
